Vice President of Investment Management

Penelope Capital is hiring a Vice President of Investment Management responsible for developing and executing investment strategies, managing portfolio performance and risk, evaluating investment opportunities, and delivering long-term, risk-adjusted returns. The role spans senior leadership across the full investment lifecycle — from origination and due diligence to portfolio oversight, value creation, and exit planning.

• Develop and execute investment strategies aligned with return objectives, risk limits, liquidity needs, and investment mandates
• Lead investment research, market analysis, due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, and investment recommendations
• Oversee portfolio construction, asset allocation, rebalancing, capital deployment, and investment pacing
• Monitor portfolio performance, asset-level KPIs, risk exposures, cash flow, valuation, and compliance with investment guidelines
• Identify new investment opportunities, acquisitions, partnerships, co-investments, and strategic transactions
• Lead investment committee materials, including investment memoranda, portfolio reviews, performance reports, and strategic recommendations
• Partner with Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Finance, Risk, Legal, Tax, and Operations teams and external advisors
• Develop value-creation plans for portfolio companies/assets and monitor execution against targets
• Manage exit, disposition, recapitalization, refinancing, and hold/sell analyses
• Build and lead high-performing investment teams; mentor junior professionals

Candidates should bring senior-level investment management experience spanning deal origination, due diligence, portfolio oversight, and exit execution, with strong financial modeling and investment committee presentation skills.
