The Opportunity
A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate & Fund Finance Associate to join its growing finance practice.
The position can be based in New York, Boston, Los Angeles or Charlotte and offers the opportunity to advise sophisticated private capital, investment fund, corporate and financial institution clients on complex financing transactions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an associate looking for exposure to both traditional corporate finance and the rapidly expanding fund finance market.
The RoleThe role will include:
- Subscription and capital call facilities
- NAV and hybrid facilities
- GP and management company financings
- Fund-level leverage
- Corporate credit facilities
- Acquisition and leveraged financings
- Secured and unsecured lending
- Refinancings and recapitalisations
- Cross-border financing transactions
The role will involve drafting and negotiating sophisticated financing documentation, coordinating transactions and working directly with clients and counter parties. Associates will have the opportunity to take substantial responsibility and work closely with partners across the firm’s broader corporate and private capital platform.
The CandidateThe ideal candidate will have:
- Strong corporate finance, fund finance or leveraged finance experience
- Experience with fund-level financing transactions is highly desirable
- Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements and related documentation
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple sophisticated transactions
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Admission to the relevant state Bar or eligibility to become admitted
