The Client Strategies Specialist supports financial professionals in building and developing planning-centric wealth management businesses by creating comprehensive financial plans, coordinating integrated client strategies, and helping deliver a high-quality client and advisor experience. This field-facing role is a key contributor to holistic planning activities that combine protection, wealth management, estate, tax, retirement, investment, and risk management considerations.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, client-first, and able to communicate complex planning concepts with clarity, professionalism, and empathy.
- Gather, organize, and analyze client financial information, including income, expenses, assets, liabilities, insurance coverage, estate documents, tax information, investment holdings, and planning assumptions.
- Construct and present comprehensive financial plans for prospective and existing clients, including high-net-worth individuals and business owners.
- Prepare planning modules and analyses covering retirement projections, cash flow, investment allocation, education funding, Social Security, tax planning, estate planning, wealth transfer, insurance, and risk management needs.
- Maintain accurate client records and planning documentation to support compliance, continuity, service quality, and a seamless advisory experience.
- Prepare client-facing materials, guiding planning conversations, explaining plan recommendations, taking notes, and tracking follow-up items.
- Partner with financial professionals to identify planning needs, develop customized recommendations, and implement financial, estate, tax, investment, insurance, and retirement strategies.
- Work alongside internal and external specialists, including investment, insurance, estate, tax, client service, sales support, and advanced sales teams.
- Contribute to process improvement by enhancing planning workflows, documentation standards, quality control, technology adoption, and team efficiency.
- Lead reporting metrics and project management.
- Research financial planning topics and stay current on retirement planning, investments, tax strategies, estate planning, wealth transfer, insurance, and client service best practices.
- Deliver responsive, confidential, and professional client service while demonstrating strong judgment, attention to detail, follow-through, and commitment to fiduciary principles.
- Advanced financial planning knowledge with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify planning gaps, opportunities, risks, and strategy implications across a client’s financial life.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead planning conversations with clarity, professionalism, and empathy.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational discipline, and ability to manage multiple complex priorities accurately in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
