Head of Finance

We're looking for our first Head of Finance to build financial operations from the ground up. You'll own everything from monthly close to fundraising models, helping us scale our usage-based pricing model from seed stage to Series A and beyond.

Xident is building the future of digital identity verification. Our platform enables businesses to verify users' ages and identities in seconds, while respecting privacy through our unique "Verify Once, Access Everywhere" model.

Founded in 2023, we've already processed over 10M+ verifications processed and serve 500+ businesses. We're a remote-first company with team members across 12 countries.

• Build and lead the finance function as our first dedicated finance hire
• Own monthly close, financial reporting, and board deck preparation
• Develop financial models for our usage-based pricing, unit economics (verification cost vs. revenue), and fundraising
• Model the economics of our two-sided network — full verification costs vs. Xident  revenue
• Implement financial systems and controls as we scale
• Partner with leadership on strategic planning and resource allocation

• 8+ years of finance experience with 3+ years in leadership roles
• Experience at high-growth startups, ideally from seed through Series B
• Strong financial modeling skills (Excel/Sheets mastery required)
• Understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, LTV, CAC) and usage-based pricing models
• Experience with fundraising processes and investor relations
• CPA or MBA preferred but not required

• Background in fintech, identity, or marketplace/network businesses
• Experience modeling unit economics for usage-based pricing at scale
• International finance experience (EU entities, multi-currency)

Meet with 3-4 team members including your potential manager and cross-functional partners. We assess technical skills, collaboration, and culture fit.

45 minutes

A conversation with a company leader to discuss your career goals, our vision, and ensure mutual fit. This is also your chance to ask strategic questions.

24-48 hours

If it's a match, we move quickly. Expect a competitive offer within 48 hours of your final interview, with clear details on compensation and equity.
