As a Retirement Plan Consultant, you’ll be a key contact for clients navigating the complex world of 401(k) and other qualified retirement plans. You will manage a full portfolio of client relationships, serve as a trusted advisor, and ensure compliance, accuracy, and exceptional service every step of the way.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensuring timely review and delivery of annual compliance testing, contribution calculations, and governmental forms and filings.
  • Maintaining accuracy of data in client relationship management system for use in managing plan load and reporting.
  • Communicating with customers and assists with benefit distributions.
  • Demonstrating an excellent level of proactive client focus and teamwork with clients, advisors, CPAs, and internal partners.
  • Protecting, securing, and handling of all confidential data transmitted to/from the organization.
  • Developing, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with clients, advisors & CPAs.
  • Interfacing with recordkeeping providers to ensure a positive client experience.
  • Developing technical skills to become a subject matter expert in regulatory and industry practices.
  • Communicating significant issues and exceptions to an appropriate higher level of authority within your assigned team promptly.
  • Remaining self‑motivated to track upcoming deadlines and follow up with clients consistently for data or additional information.
  • Follows Blue Ridge Associates company policy and procedures to ensure a uniform product and process for all clients.
  • Assisting internal departments, as needed, with plan administration.
  • Understanding and discussing:
    • ADP/ACP testing
    • Cross‑testing and other profit‑sharing allocation methods
    • Cash balance and 401(k) plan design coordination
