THE ROLEA Senior International Tax Manager is a senior-level tax professional who will assist the company in the international tax department. This role supports entertainment productions, touring artists, talent, and related business operations by managing withholding taxes and indirect tax obligations, including VAT, GST, and HST filings across multiple authorities.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO- Manage international tax compliance for assigned authorities.
- Prepare and file VAT, GST, HST and other international tax returns accurately and on time.
- Oversee the withholding tax compliance related to artist withholding, fees, productions services, touring, licensing, and cross-border payments.
- Advise internal teams on tax implications of international productions, performances, artist engagements, sponsor ships, and content distribution.
- Coordinate tax registrations, filings, payments, refunds, and correspondence with foreign tax authorities
- Review contracts and payment structures to identify withholding, permanent establishment, indirect tax, and treaty considerations

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required CPA, CA or equivalent preferred 10+ years of international tax experience and withholding tax compliance.
- Certifications:
CPA, CMI or other relevant tax certifications is a plus. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Vertex tax software, Excel, Power Query, and tax research tools. - Strong knowledge of cross-border payments, tax treaties, non-resident withholding, VAT registrations, and refund processes.
- Experience supporting entertainment, media, music, live events, talent, sports, or similarly international service-based businesses is highly desirable.
