Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center.

As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE JOB

Anduril’s Rocket Motor Systems business line is experiencing rapid growth as we expand development and operational capabilities to deliver critical propulsion systems to the defense industrial base.

As a Financial Analyst II, Rocket Motor Systems, you will play a hands‑on role supporting the financial health, forecasting, and operational execution of our hardware programs. Working closely with Program Managers, functional leads, and senior finance team members, you will be responsible for maintaining Estimate at Complete (EAC) models, supporting income statement and balance sheet forecasts, and delivering clean, actionable reporting.

This role offers broad, end‑to‑end exposure across program finance, operational controls, and FP&A in an agile, fast‑paced setting. We are looking for a detail‑oriented analyst who is strong in Excel, curious about the operational drivers behind the numbers, and excited to help build reliable financial processes as our programs scale.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • EAC & Forecast Maintenance: Partner with Program Managers to update and maintain Estimate to Complete (ETC) models, track budget baselines, and ensure Estimate at Complete (EAC) integrity across a portfolio of contracts.
  • Margin & Variance Analysis: Track contract cost and margin performance against baselines; identify and explain key labor, material, and schedule variances to program teams.
  • Financial Forecasting Support: Assist in building and updating contract-level and business-line forecasts for revenue, profit, cash flow, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Month-End Close Reviews: Support month-end close by reviewing contract actuals, verifying cost allocations, and ensuring recognized revenue aligns with actual contract performance.
  • Operational Finance & Approvals: Review and approve purchase orders (POs) against program budgets and manage project code setups/work breakdown structures (WBS) in the ERP system.
  • Program & Management Reporting: Prepare recurring weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc financial reporting packages, supporting inputs for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and leadership data calls.
  • Continuous Improvement: Help identify potential cost risks early ("look around the corner") and participate in special projects to streamline and automate day-to-day finance workflows as the business scales.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a financial analyst (experience in aerospace/defense, hardware, or government contracting strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of contract financial concepts, including Estimate at Complete (EAC), Estimate to Complete (ETC), and variance analysis.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling).
  • Strong business partnering and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial metrics to non-finance stakeholders (engineers, PMs, operations).
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and be eligible to apply for and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with government contracting types, particularly Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) and Cost-Plus (CP).
  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Net Suite, SAP, or similar).
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance (Secret or TS/SCI), or ability to…
