Summary Global Graduate ProgrammeThe RES Global Graduate Programme is a two-year development programme designed to provide graduates with meaningful work experience, professional development and exposure to different areas of the renewable energy industry.
The anticipated start date is July 2027.
Over the course of the programme, graduates will complete three rotations of approximately eight months each across different teams, functions or business areas. Each rotation is designed to build technical capability, commercial awareness and leadership potential while helping graduates develop a broad understanding of RES and the renewable energy industry.
Graduates will work on real projects, collaborate with experienced colleagues and be encouraged to take ownership of their development while making meaningful contributions to the business. Through a combination of structured learning, practical experience and professional development opportunities, graduates will build the skills and experience needed for a successful long-term career at RES.

This role will be hybrid requiring a minimum of 4 days in office. Requirements Rotation 1:Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Accountabilities
As part of the FP&A rotation, the graduate will work closely with the FP&A team under the guidance of the FP&A Manager gaining exposure to:
- Supporting the preparation of monthly management reporting packs, budgets and forecasts, gaining exposure to the full planning and forecasting cycle.
- Participating in the monthly financial close review cycle and helping to prepare budget presentations and year-over-year bridge analyses for senior leadership.
- Assisting with the collection, consolidation and analysis of cost centre, departmental and legal entity financial data to support accurate reporting.
- Learning to interpret trends in revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditure, and supporting senior analysts in identifying and explaining variances.
- Helping to build and maintain financial models and forecasting tools under the guidance of experienced FP&A colleagues.
- Supporting the preparation of clear, well-presented reports and analysis for business partners, and developing the ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Developing a working understanding of the Group’s reporting systems (ERP, CPM and Excel-based tools) and contributing to ongoing improvements in reporting processes and data quality.
- Building relationships across the finance function and wider business, and participating in day-to-day business partnering activity under supervision.
Project Controls Accountabilities
As part of the Project Controls rotation, the graduate will work closely with the project controls team, gaining exposure to:
- Assisting with the development, review and monitoring of project budgets, and supporting the transfer of budget information between systems.
- Supporting the preparation of Schedules of Value and pay applications in line with contract terms, working alongside Project Managers.
- Gaining exposure to job cost review, reclassification and variance investigation, and supporting final job audits and commitment close-outs.
