The Financial Analyst delivers timely and accurate financial data to the Santa Clara Stadium Authority and executive management team. The position partners with internal stakeholders to help analyze their financial resources so they can achieve their financial business goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:- Prepares the annual Santa Clara Stadium Authority (SCSA) operating and capital budget.
- Analyzes monthly SCSA financials and prepares reports and projections based on analyses.
- Coordinates with other members of the finance and accounting teams to ensure accuracy of data.
- Communicates effectively and thoroughly with internal departments, SCSA staff, and budget owners.
- Helps maintain the SCSA’s financial reporting system & offers suggestions for improvements.
- Proactively investigates unusual balances, variances, and fluctuations.
- Builds and analyzes ad hoc financial reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Ability to focus on a speaker using verbal and non-verbal clues to understand their message, comprehend the information and respond thoughtfully.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively build a network of contacts at all levels within the industry and in the community, both internally and externally.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to evaluate information to determine how it should be best interpreted.
- Able to communicate confidently and competently to all types of audiences within a variety of delivery methods.

- Ability to initiate, design, plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate outcomes of a project or initiative.
- At least 1-5 years’ relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Google and Microsoft Suite including Excel (Advanced Excel modeling skills required), Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with financial software (i.e. Anaplan, Adaptive, Business Central ).
- Solid understanding of financial statements, GAAP accounting, and the workings between an income statement and cash flow statement.
