TheOpportunity
Hamilton Lane is seeking a Syndication Manager to help build and lead a scalable, centralized syndication function. This role will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end execution of syndication opportunities and serving as the central point of coordination across deal teams, product specialists, sales coverage, legal, operations, and investors. The successful candidate will be highly organized, process-oriented, and execution-driven professional with a strong focus on relationship management.
Proven ability to coordinate complex transactions, streamline workflows, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful syndication outcomes. The Syndication Manager will lead the end-to-end execution of syndication opportunities from early pipeline engagement through investor targeting, diligence, allocation, documentation, funding, and closing. The role will act as the “quarterback” for each transaction, ensuring that processes are well defined, communications are coordinated, materials are complete, and investors receive a seamless experience. Syndication responsibilities will span the firm's core investment verticals, including Secondaries, Credit, Infrastructure, Direct Equity, and Venture Capital.
The Syndication Manager will work closely with product specialists and regional sales teams to understand investor preferences, identify appropriate opportunities, build demand, and support successful placement of deals. The role will also establish and maintain the data, processes, and relationship intelligence needed to scale the function over time.
- Lead the end-to-end syndication process
- Engage early with deal teams as opportunities become actionable, including during earlier pipeline stages where appropriate.
- Develop and manage transaction timelines, milestones, work streams, and stakeholder responsibilities.
- Coordinate the syndication process across deal teams, product specialists, sales coverage, legal, operations, and other internal partners.
- Serve as the primary internal point of coordination and the face of syndication for relevant external investor interactions.
- Identify process risks, resolve issues, and elevate matters requiring senior investment, legal, or operational input.
- Drive execution discipline, consistency, and continuous improvement across transactions.
- Manage investor targeting and book-building
