Key Responsibilities and Opportunities- Regular interface with Finance leadership through weekly 'Lessons from Leaders' sessions.

- End of internship presentation to the Chief Financial Officer and the Finance Leadership Team.
- Supports all aspects of sales, use, VAT/GST/HST, and property tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- This role assists with preparing and filing monthly indirect tax returns, reviewing taxability of transactions, maintaining compliance tools and technology, and supporting audit activities.
- Assist to reconcile general ledger data, resolve notices from taxing authorities, and contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls within the Indirect Tax function.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across the organization to effectively communicate indirect tax issues, assess potential impacts, and develop practical solutions that support compliance and business objectives.
- 2-3 years of progress towards a bachelor’s degree in business with an Accounting, Finance, or closely related major.
- Overall and within a major GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Demonstrated interest in tax, accounting, finance, and operations through course work or previous internships.
- Computer savvy, knowledge of ERP systems, and strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with senior management.
- Excellent organizational skills.
The anticipated compensation for this position is $21-$24 per hour. This is the salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs.
