The School of Business at Quinnipiac University invites dynamic, innovative, and student-focused educators to join our Finance Department as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance beginning in Fall 2027.
We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests contribute to the evolving intersection of Finance, Financial Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Fin Tech, Healthcare Finance, Biotechnology, and data-driven decision making. We welcome candidates employing both traditional and emerging approaches to important questions in finance. Opportunities exist for interdisciplinary collaboration with faculty across the School of Business and the broader university in areas related to analytics, artificial intelligence, technology, law, healthcare, and innovation.
Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, including Investments, Portfolio Management, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets and Institutions, Financial Analytics, Fin Tech, Decentralized Finance (DeFi), and related areas. The successful candidate will have opportunities to contribute to the continued development of innovative programs in Financial Technology, Financial Analytics, and AI applications in finance as well as university initiatives in Healthcare Finance.
Candidates should demonstrate the potential to establish and sustain a high-impact research agenda that contributes to leading finance journals. The department is particularly interested in candidates whose scholarship explores how emerging technologies are reshaping financial markets, institutions, firms, and investors. Relevant areas may include, but are not limited to:
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning in financial decision-making
- Asset pricing
- Investment analysis
- Portfolio management
- Financial analytics and predictive modeling
- Alternative data and computational finance
- Fin Tech innovation
- Digital assets, blockchain, and decentralized finance
- Generative AI and large language models in finance
- AI governance, regulation, and the ethical implications for financial markets
The successful candidate will play a central role in a premier finance program focused on preparing graduates for careers in a rapidly changing financial landscape.
