** About the Role
** Morgan Stanley Investment Management's (MSIM) Tactical Value team sits within the firm's ~$62bn Private Credit & Equity platform. The group manages approximately $4bn and makes private equity, growth equity, and structured credit investments across industries, capitalizing on connectivity with Morgan Stanley's investment bank and GCM as well as outside relationships for sourcing, diligence, and value creation. The team invests across large-cap and middle-market deals with check sizes of $50-750MM+, with recent focus on tech/cybersecurity, consumer, professional/industrial services, media, and sports.
** Key Responsibilities**- Work directly with senior investors throughout the investment lifecycle, including evaluating investment opportunities
- Conduct in-depth sector analysis and research on macro themes, investment ideas, and target assets
- Build financial models for company projections and transaction scenarios
- Produce investment memoranda and support materials on investment opportunities
- Coordinate with advisors and consultants on due diligence items
- Monitor portfolio company performance and interface with management teams
** Qualifications**- 1-3 years of prior experience in investment banking or private equity
- Background in M&A, industry coverage, or capital markets preferred
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Program start between Winter-Summer 2027
** Compensation
* * Expected base pay between $110,000 and $150,000 per year, plus eligibility for incentive compensation and discretionary bonuses depending on the position.
