· Senior#### About The Position Open Dor  Media is looking for a Director of Finance and Controller to own the accounting and finance function of a global, mission-driven nonprofit with an operating budget of approximately $20 million and growing, with staff across the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom, and South Africa.

It is an exciting time for Open Dor Media and the Finance Department! We have just finished migrating to a new ERP platform, modernized accounts payable workflow and are midway through a baseline global governance and compliance review across every jurisdiction that we operate in. The foundation is built and now we need the person who makes it run like a well oiled machine.

Our CFO engagement is not full time, which means ownership of these functions are genuinely yours to mold and there are real growth opportunities here. If you like walking into a function with good bones and making it excellent, you will like it here.
** What you'll own**
* ** Own the accounting, close, and financial reporting.
** The general ledger and chart of accounts across all entities, a complete and reconciled close on a defined timetable, consolidated U.S. GAAP statements for nonprofit organizations, and the recurring reporting package the CEO, department heads, and the Board rely on.
* ** Own global finance and multi-jurisdiction compliance.
** Accounting and reporting for all non-U.S. operations, intercompany activity and foreign currency, local statutory filings and indirect tax including Israeli VAT, and U.S. and international payroll.
* ** Own the internal control, audit, and governance environment.
** Control design, documentation, and testing, clean segregation of duties, finance policies from delegation of authority through expense and vendor onboarding, and the annual audit and Form 990 as primary day-to-day liaison.
* ** Own the mechanics of planning, budgeting, and business partnerships.
** The annual budget and forecast cycle end to end, finance partnership to assigned division heads so leaders can build defensible budgets and understand their actuals, and the supporting schedules behind the multi-year financial model.
* ** Own treasury, cash, and day-to-day banking.
** Operating cash management, banking administration and access controls, accounts receivable, the weekly cash and investment reporting cycle, and support to the CFO on reserve monitoring and Investment Policy Statement compliance.
* ** Manage the finance team and the systems stack.
** Leading and developing the team consisting of a senior staff accountant, a finance associate, and a customer service associate, plus the finance systems and workflow tools, continued automation including practical use of AI, and the SOPs that keep the function off any one person's memory.#### Requirements
** You'll do well here if
*** You have 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including responsibility for a full close cycle and consolidated financial statements in a multi-entity, multi-currency, or multi-country environment.
* You have a CPA and/or MBA with a strong accounting background.
* You have nonprofit sector experience, ideally in an organization of comparable size and complexity with experience in the donor and fundraising process including familiarity with Form 990 and nonprofit governance practice.
* You know U.S. GAAP deeply and have applied nonprofit accounting standards directly: net asset classification, contribution revenue recognition, and functional expense allocation.
* You have owned an external audit and an organization's internal control environment, and you have supervised and developed accounting staff.
