Assistant Professor of Finance

The Department of Finance and Economics in the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Finance, beginning Fall 2027. We seek an outstanding scholar with a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service excellence. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses across our San Marcos and Round Rock campuses, utilizing a variety of instructional modalities.

Candidates should demonstrate clear potential to publish impactful research in leading finance journals and to contribute meaningfully to the academic and professional finance community. While we welcome applicants from all areas of finance, we prefer candidates with expertise in commercial banking, fintech, or applications of artificial intelligence in finance. We are especially interested in scholars who apply innovative, rigorous analytical approaches to solving real-world financial challenges.

Experienced candidates should present an established research agenda with publications in top finance journals.
