Position

Purpose:

In our business, one of the biggest risks we take is counter party exposure. Whether its performance on a forward contract, receipt of AR, or trusting a custodian with holding our inventory, our business requires thoughtful and scalable solutions to monitoring, understanding, and proactively addressing counter party exposure. This function will lead the Credit Portfolio Management Team who analyzes and manages these exposures.

Core functions of the team include onboarding and underwriting counter parties, monitoring and managing ongoing counter party and portfolio level credit exposure, and facilitating the onboarding of StoneX entities by our counter parties.

This is a function focused both on thoughtful analysis, careful oversight, and broad scalability. As SS&T continues to grow – organically and through acquisition – this position is responsible for defining how PM scales with the business while maintaining high standards for portfolio analysis and monitoring.

This function will partner with StoneX Central Risk team, an oversight team responsible for the broader StoneX commercial credit portfolio. This function will act as a front line for analysis, subject matter expert on the physical trading business and physical deal structure, and key monitoring function while working directly with StoneX Central Credit Team for managing approvals and escalation.

Primary duties will include:

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, develop, and manage the PM Team in the regions where SS&T operates, including hiring, coaching, performance management, workload prioritization, and succession planning.
• Further develop global coverage models, service standards, and escalation paths that scale as the platform adds business lines, counter parties, and jurisdictions.
• Represent SS&T throughout the company, including periodic reporting on portfolio composition and emerging risks.

Onboarding, Underwriting, and Portfolio Oversight

• Partner with StoneX Risk, Compliance, AML, and Legal to apply and further develop scalable onboarding and underwriting standards that are consistent across business lines and jurisdictions.
• Oversee credit underwriting completed by Portfolio Managers and Financial Analysts and directly underwrite larger, more complex exposures, in both instances for approval by StoneX Risk and the Risk Management Committee, as applicable.
• Act as an effective first screen on requests from business origination groups; where a request does not meet prudent risk parameters, work with the business to structure alternate solutions.
