Participants will have the opportunity to engage with senior leaders through our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) Speaker Series, gaining valuable business insights and career perspectives, while also giving back through our annual volunteering day, supporting the communities in which we live and work.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills, expand your network, and explore what’s possible across a global financial services organization.
Over 24 months, you’ll dive into three dynamic 8-month rotations that will give you real-world experience in key areas like:
- Accounting/tax/audit – learn the steps to reach the bottom line
- Finance – create decision support-based analytics for business partners
- Utility – blend both your finance and accounting skills on business projects that involve our internal service providers and business processes (ex: procurement, risk, treasury, real estate, business planning and analysis)
After exploring the breadth of the business unit(s) through each rotation, LDPs have the opportunity to post to a permanent position within Ameriprise Financial.
How you’ll spend your time- Prepare a cost benefit analysis to determine expected benefits of a new product or program
- Analyze profit and loss statements and recommend solutions to grow revenues and manage expenses
- Balance sheet management, due diligence, and process re‑engineering
- Prepare expense and revenue forecasts and analyze trends and variances from plan and prior forecasts
- Work with a team conducting an audit and testing controls of a business process
Evaluate business risks and opportunities to mitigate risk - Assist with the creation of a cash flow spreadsheet for purposes of dividend planning
- Perform analysis of taxable income from investments, variance analysis and year over year trends
Examples of past LDP projects include:
