Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as the organization's senior financial executive and a key strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors. The CFO is responsible for the overall financial stewardship, strategic financial planning, financial performance, reimbursement strategy, revenue cycle, accounting, financial reporting, cash and liquidity management, capital planning, risk management, and financial systems of the organization.

The CFO will provide leadership and insight that enables the organization to fulfill its mission while maintaining long-term financial strength, operational effectiveness, and sustainable growth. The CFO will serve as a strategic business partner across the organization, translating financial and operational information into actionable recommendations and helping leadership evaluate opportunities, risks, investments, new markets, partnerships, acquisitions, capital projects, and other initiatives affecting the organization's future.

The successful candidate will bring strong healthcare financial expertise, sound business judgment, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders in a mission-driven nonprofit environment.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible financial management experience, including experience in a senior financial leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience managing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and revenue-cycle functions.
• Significant experience in healthcare financial management, preferably within hospice, home health, post-acute care, hospital, or another complex healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and healthcare revenue-cycle operations.
• Experience presenting financial information and recommendations to executive leadership and/or a Board of Directors.
• Demonstrated ability to develop financial models, analyze complex business issues, and translate financial information into actionable recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing financial teams.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Master's degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience with nonprofit healthcare organizations.
• Experience with hospice and/or home health operations.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, joint ventures, or other strategic transactions.
• Experience with multi-site or geographically dispersed healthcare organizations.
• Experience with strategic planning, capital planning, and organizational growth initiatives.
• Primarily indoor office setting.
• Prolonged computer and telephone use.
• Moderate noise level typical of an office environment.
• Frequent interaction with staff, patients, families, and vendors.
• Climate-controlled environment.

• Ability to sit for extended periods (6-8 hours per day).
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and operating office equipment.
• Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to lift and carry files or office supplies up to 20 pounds.
• Visual acuity for reading documents and computer screens.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
