Full time, 37 hours per week, Permanent.

Salary: GR7, £31,022 per annum.

Ty Elai, Williamstown.

The role involves administering and enforcing the local authority’s licensing regime. Key duties include processing licence applications, collecting fees, and ensuring that all activities meet statutory and procedural deadlines. The successful candidate will also be responsible for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and will be subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.

Qualifications & experience:

• Educated to ONC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an appropriate discipline, or have experience in a regulatory role.
• Experience dealing with the public, analysing and collating information, and using computer‑based information systems.
• Strong communication, teamwork and adaptability skills; willingness to work outside normal office hours and travel independently.
• Welsh language: speakers of Level 3 or above will be invited to interview under the guaranteed interview scheme; use of Welsh will not be treated less favourably than English.

The Authority offers flexible working and an agile/hybrid working environment. Meeting the demands of the post may require travel and working outside the normal office hours.
