Location: Northern
Fire Prevention Inspector - Oakland Borough.
The Borough seeks a part-time Fire Prevention Inspector, approximately 10 - 20 hours per week.
- Inspection of buildings and structures to ensure compliance with the provisions of the state Uniform Fire Code
- Investigation of complaints
- Participation in Fire Prevention Week activities
- Administration of the Certificate of Approval (CAO) program
Fire Inspector Certification and a driver’s license are required.
Requires thorough knowledge of the Fire Code and ability to apply the code to real world situations.
Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills are essential.
Compensation range is $20-$45 per hour, DOQ/E.
