Director of Planning & Zoning, Bardstown (KY

The Bardstown-Nelson County Planning and Zoning Commission is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Planning and Zoning. This leadership role is critical to the continued growth and development of our city and county, ensuring a well-planned and organized landscape that aligns with the vision and goals of Bardstown and Nelson County. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the city and county’s comprehensive plan, oversee the administration of zoning ordinances, including the review of development proposals, zoning permits, and variances.

Work with developers, architects, and city/county officials to evaluate and guide land use proposals, ensuring compliance with zoning regulations.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in planning and zoning.
• Salary: $80,000 to $125,000.
