Are you a numbers person who enjoys solving problems, working with great people, and helping an organization succeed? The Signers’ Business Office (SBO) is looking for a full-time Budget and Accounting Manager to join our team!

In this role, you’ll manage operating budgets and Foundation funding for assigned units while partnering with leadership to make informed financial decisions. You’ll work with everything from expense planning and payroll to revenue forecasting and financial strategy, turning numbers into information that helps our units succeed.

Extensive knowledge of spreadsheets, relational databases, and query development necessary for financial, budget and statistical analysis. Ability to analyze and implement process improvements. Knowledge of rules and regulations associated with operating budgets.

The typical experience of the ideal candidate would have a minimum of three years of experience as a fiscal officer within a university setting. The preferred candidate would be willing to continue their education for the betterment of the department. Ideally, the candidate would have impeccable customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, statistics or related field and 3 years progressively responsible professional fiscal experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Professional licensure preferred (e.g. CPA, CFM).

Position Details:

This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 80, based on education and experience.
