The University Police at UT Rio Grande Valley is seeking Police Communications Operators. This full-time position handles emergency 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls, enters information into a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, and dispatches field units to urgent requests while monitoring alarms and CCTV when needed.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED; an Associate’s degree or 30 credit hours in Criminal Justice is preferred.
