** The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees. ** Description of Work
** Reporting directly to the Warden at a medium custody male correctional facility and reporting indirectly to the Division Audit Administrator, this position's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Providing hands on guidance and assistance to the section heads within their assigned facility (or facilities) regarding ACA and PREA audits.
2. Providing technical guidance to the Warden(s).
3. Coordinating internal compliance audits, safety and health audits and inspections and region inspections as well as ensuring all standard operating procedures and post orders are in compliance with audit standards and division policy.
4. Serving as a coordinator for monitoring the strategic plan, the key performance indicators and as the Facility Public information officer.
5. Working collaboratively with other prison section heads, the Warden, the Region Director, the Region Compliance Manager, the Division Audit Administrator, Director of Performance and Standards and other Division Directors to develop strategies for enhancing prison operations, using the results of operational audits, and other measures developed by this section.

The current capacity of Warren CI is 809 male offenders, with most offenders being housed in medium custody. Offenders at Warren Correctional Institution may work at the Correction Enterprises Janitorial Products Plant, gaining marketable job skills and self-confidence participating in the manufacturing of soap and cleaning products.
