Special Access Requirement
At least one (1) Declassification Specialist must hold a personnel security clearance read-on to Critical Nuclear Weapon Design Information (CNWDI) and Restricted Data/Formerly Restricted Data (RD/FRD), and must be certified by the Department of Energy (DoE) to conduct declassification reviews at time of proposal submission.

Taurean is hiring a Declassification Specialist to support the client's mandatory, systematic, and automatic declassification programs on-site in Doral, Florida. These positions are included within the Information Security Specialist team and focus on the full lifecycle of declassification review — from tracking classified records to conducting line-by-line redaction reviews, processing MDR/ADR/SDR requests, and submitting materials for NARA release.

Standard hours are 0600–1800, Monday through Friday
, excluding Federal holidays.

• Assist with declassification requests (MDR, ADR, SDR, Ad Hoc); review requests and identify their nature including investigations and legal proceedings
• Conduct line-by-line review of documents for redaction related to MDR requests
• Assist with original and derivative classification and the mandatory/systematic/automatic declassification programs utilizing established guides; apply appropriate markings and red actions to prevent unauthorized disclosure
• Certified by Department of Energy (DoE) to conduct reviews and identify DoE-related information (at least one specialist); hold personnel security clearance read-on to CNWDI and RD/FRD to prevent unauthorized disclosure of DoE classified information
• Track classified information from origination to its 20-year mark; submit for government approval for release to NARA
• Track declassification requests from date of request to suspension or release; log incorrect disposition decisions and referrals to other agencies

• Develop and maintain an internal quality control/review program to ensure services are performed within accepted government practices; identify and prevent defective casework
• Maintain a list of substantive errors and unacceptable review findings; monitor and correct through the contractor's quality control procedures
