Health Scientist

The Health Scientist I supports program evaluation, performance measurement, implementation assessment, and technical assistance activities for THEEB. The position assists with evaluation planning, development of logic models and indicators, data collection and analysis, interpretation of findings, and preparation of evaluation reports and presentations. The Health Scientist I applies foundational implementation research concepts and methods to assess program processes, implementation barriers and facilitators, and opportunities for program improvement.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
• Bachelor's degree in public health, health science, epidemiology, evaluation, social science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in public health, evaluation, health science, program monitoring, or a related field.
• Experience conducting systematic assessments of program inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes.
• Experience supporting evaluation plans, evaluation questions, indicators, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
• Experience developing or supporting program logic models and identifying appropriate program outcomes.
• Familiarity with implementation research concepts and methods, including process evaluation and assessment of implementation barriers and facilitators.
• Experience facilitating or supporting internal and external partner meetings and providing evaluation assistance or training.
• Knowledge of the rules, procedures, and principles governing intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Ability to use and manage CDC administrative systems, including Human Subjects, OMB, IRB, and E-Clearance.
• Previous experience working with government procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to successfully complete any government-required background investigation or security clearance, if applicable to the task order.
