The Records Specialist Supervisor position at State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Albion provides an exciting opportunity to lead a team that manages essential inmate records. This role focuses on overseeing inmate record systems and guiding staff who maintain important information for SCI Albion. As a Records Specialist Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Record Oversight: Collect information, review court documents, and ensure accurate updates to inmate records
- Identification Processing: Interview, photograph, and fingerprint inmates while ensuring proper procedures are followed
- Staff Supervision: Manage work assignments, provide training, and support staff performance
- Transport Coordination: Arrange inmate transports and verify authorizations for releases and temporary absences
- Judicial Representation: Represent the Department at hearings and provide testimony related to identity and sentence status

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

- Two years of experience as a Corrections Records Specialist (Commonwealth job title);
or - One year of experience as a Records Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title);
or - Four years of clerical or correctional custodial experience that includes two years of specialized records work in a correctional facility; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of specialized records work experience in a correctional facility.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
This position subject to the provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding.
You must be eligible for selection in accordance with merit system employment regulations.
