Position Description
ARServices is seeking an experienced Staff Action Control Officer (SACO) / Action Officer and Correspondence Analyst to provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Chemical and Biological Department, Research Operations Division (RD-CBC). This cross-functional role is ideal for a highly organized professional who can keep the business of the Chemical and Biological (CB) Department moving—managing schedules, preparations, suspenses, taskers, and official correspondence—while supporting Warfighter engagements and integrating with A&AS teams that support acquisition, PPBE, and research oversight.
The SACO will serve as Tasker Manager backup, meeting organizer, and focal point for correspondence across the Division. You will ensure senior leadership has appropriate visibility and decision opportunities, coordinate official Department-level correspondence, support limited budget and acquisition tasks, and serve as backup to the Division PMO A&AS Lead, including ETMS2 tasker support.
A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
- Perform Staff Action Control duties to ensure the daily business of the Department has appropriate senior leadership visibility and opportunity for decision, including offering advice on how to address leadership challenges.
- Support the planning and execution of Warfighter engagements such as Chem Bio Operational Analysis (CBOA).
- Support the planning and execution of key initiatives related to disease surveillance capabilities, including synchronizing related activities (not developing the capabilities).
- Support coordination of official Department-level correspondence, including receiving, reviewing, and coordinating documents for signature across CB Divisions.
- Track multiple documents being routed simultaneously (all DTRA Form 1s and other required documents) and work with leadership to ensure signatures are returned in a timely manner.
- Attend and take minutes during the weekly Senior Leader meeting.
- Support Acquisition and PPBE tasks, including attending contract planning discussions for FAR-based contracts, Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreements, and SBIR/STTR actions; taking minutes; and offering advice.
- Attend and take minutes during Initial Strategy Session / Acquisition Strategy Review (ISS/ASR) meetings.
