Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Government Affairs Consultant in Los Angeles, CA to support our Government Relations and Public Policy Team, gaining hands‑on experience in the development and implementation of Jacobs’ government affairs strategy. Your contributions will help strengthen engagement with government stakeholders, support policy initiatives, and advance strategic priorities across diverse markets and regions.

Through exposure to our global footprint across the Americas, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Europe, while collaborating with our diverse business sectors and end markets, you will build a foundation of understanding of key government affairs functions, including public policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, legislative monitoring, regulatory strategy, advocacy initiatives, economic development, and strategic partnerships.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:- You will work closely with government affairs leaders and subject matter experts, providing project support for legislative, regulatory, and public policy initiatives that impact our clients and business operations.
- We will count on you to bring new ideas and perspectives to the table, challenge conventional thinking, and learn about strategic planning, business development, operations, leadership, and external engagement.
- You will also have the opportunity to learn how government affairs strategies are developed and executed, from identifying emerging policy opportunities to influencing outcomes that support organizational priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Affairs, Public Policy, International Relations, International Studies, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous internship experience in government affairs, public policy, public affairs, communications, or a related field
- Interest in public policy, government relations, legislative affairs, or stakeholder engagement.
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
- Experience tracking legislation, regulatory developments, or public policy issues.
- Authorization to work in the country of employment without sponsorship

The base salary range for this position is $66,900.00 to $; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
