The City of Roseville Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Entry Level Police Officer.

Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen and 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license
  • Proof of Police Academy Graduation and State Certification per M.C.O.L.E.S.
  • Or currently employed as a Police Officer with M.C.O.L.E.S. certification
  • Or proof of current enrollment in a Police Academy with graduation date
  • Or 2 years of out-of-state police experience with M.C.O.L.E.S. certification

Category Employment Opportunities Status Open Salary Starting salary is $72,105 and a top wage of $90,974 after 48 months of service. Lateral transferring officers will receive a starting salary of $72,105 and then $79,875 beginning Step 5 of the FTO program. Longevity pay starting at 5 years of service. Immediate health care benefits, uniform allowance and vacation bank for new hires.

Benefits The Roseville Police Department offers a competitive benefit package including adefined benefit plan pension. Unlike many other communities, our defined benefit plan pension is based on gross wages and not base salary. Our officers receive health, dental, vision and life insurance. A deferred compensation plan and retirement health savings account is available to assist our officers prepare for their future.

Officers receive paid vacation, sick time, holiday pay, personal time, comp time and paid training. Officers are also eligible for a Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP).
