Job highlights
- Administer and enforce the Franklin County Zoning Ordinances and Subdivision Regulations.
- Supervise the Planning staff and Building and Electrical Inspectors.
- Prepare and administer departmental budget.
- Prepare map and text amendments as well as staff reports for zone changes.
- Prepare ordinances for changes to be presented to Fiscal Court.
- Review requests for variances and conditional use permits.
- Coordinate issues related to the flood plain.
- Attend Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and Sub-Committee meetings.
- A Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, urban planning or a closely related field AND Five (5) or more years of related experience required; two (2) of which must be in a supervisory or management role.
* An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted.
