Cosmetologist

Position Summary

The Cosmetologist is responsible for providing professional hair, skincare, and cosmetic services to guests in a relaxing and welcoming environment. This position offers flexible compensation options-either an hourly employee position or an independent booth rental agreement-allowing stylists to choose the structure that best fits their professional and financial goals.

• Provide a full range of cosmetology services, including haircuts, coloring, styling, manicures, pedicures, facials, and makeup applications (based on license)
• Consult with guests to assess individual needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and ensure tools are sanitized per ND State Board of Cosmetology standards.
• Promote spa services, retail products, and special promotions to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
• Maintain accurate client and transaction records.
• Ensure a professional, courteous, and relaxing experience for every guest.
• Stay current on beauty trends, products, and techniques through continuing education.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and spa events.
• Adhere to all Sakakawea Spa and 4 Bears Casino & Lodge policies, including safety, sanitation, and confidentiality.

• Current North Dakota Cosmetology License in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a salon or spa preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Professional appearance demeanor required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Ability to stand for long periods
• Manual dexterity for detailed cosmetology services.
• Occasionally lift and move supplies up to 25lbs.
