Position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining patient and non‑patient areas within the hospital. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Job Description- Performs daily cleaning procedures in patient and non‑patient areas to provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
- Completes detailed cleaning duties (high dusting, cleaning of blinds, etc.) on a weekly basis or upon discharge/transfer of a patient to obtain high results on quality assurance inspections and patient satisfaction.
- Clears, sanitizes and deodorizes restrooms to meet quality expectations.
- Removes trash from cleaned areas to a central location to facilitate removal from the building.
- Attends in‑service programs, meetings and completes Net Learning modules as required by the hospital.
- Follows applicable safety steps required to perform duties and complies with hospital, state and federal safety standards, including proper safety procedures, reporting safety concerns, and using correct lifting techniques.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide services based on growth principles across the life span of those served.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to read and write.
