As a Speech Therapist with Personal Touch Home Care, you will evaluate and treat individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders, helping them improve communication skills and quality of life. You will also provide rehabilitative services to patients who cannot travel to a clinic or hospital, focusing on improving quality of life by promoting mobility, function, and independence in patients’ homes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Provide therapy to individuals of all ages, addressing articulation, fluency, voice, and language issues.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and home exercises.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech therapy.
- Must have graduated from an accredited Speech Therapist college or university.
- Must have a valid professional license and registration for the state of practice.
- Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Prefer two (2) years of appropriate experience as an occupational therapist.
- Home health experience is preferred.
