- Required Licenses/Registrations/Certifications Kentucky Registered SRNA, RN nursing student with completed first fundamental course and a clinical, Military Medic, Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), CST III at UK in last 12 months, Graduate of a licensed practical nursing program; BLS at time of hire via American Heart Association.
- Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50‑100 pounds daily; stand, walk, sit for long periods; exposure to communicable diseases, injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.
- Shift Varies:
Primarily Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm; may require some holidays. Provides coverage at both Gill Infusion and Wellington Infusion locations. - Final date to receive applications 12/31/2026
The Medical Assistant (MA) will be responsible for direct patient care and provide clinical support to providers. Duties include obtaining patient medical history information, expediting patient flow, rooming patients, stocking clinic supplies, navigating the electronic health record system, scheduling and following up with appointments, assisting with medication fill requests, prior authorizations, scheduling tests, procedures, and consults. The MA will communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients and physicians in a respectful manner and follow UK Healthcare values for service excellence.
