Job DescriptionInterventional Radiology Technologist
Key Responsibilities
As an essential part of our Interventional Radiology team,you will ensure the highest quality of patient care and diagnostic imaging.
Your core responsibilities include:
Patient Care & Imaging Procedures
- Preparation: Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are stocked andready for patient procedures.
- Administration: Administer radiopharmaceuticals/contrast agents and accurately positionpatients and imaging equipment to obtain clear, diagnostic images.
- Communication: Clearly explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort, safety,and cooperation throughout the examination.
- Monitoring& Safety: Closely monitor patients during procedures, ensuring continuous safety and strictly adhering to protocols to minimizeunnecessary radiation exposure (ALARA principles).
Technical & Documentation
- Imaging Operation: Operate complex imaging equipment, including insertingnecessary data/commands, documenting scan sequences, and monitoring/adjusting video display parameters (density, contrast) toensure optimal image quality.
- Reporting: Produce high-quality diagnostic images and promptly communicate criticalfindings or relevant information directly to the supervising Physician.
- Record Keeping: Accurately update and maintain patient records and procedural documentation.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Scheduling: Organize and manage the daily procedure schedule, promptly accommodatingemergency cases as needed.
- Supply Management: Monitor, organize, and manage radiographic and proceduralsupplies.
- Support& Coordination: Perform administrative duties, including answering technical questions, scheduling patient appointments, and providing essential pre-procedure advice.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine scheduled maintenance and necessaryemergency troubleshooting/repairs on radiographic equipment.
