Dietary Aide

Overview

Works under the supervision of the Supervisors, Manager and/or Director. Performs duties related to therapeutic diets and meal services, including proper portioning and delivery of food items to meet therapeutic nutritional guidelines, completion of production sheets, cafeteria service, and cleaning of the designated work station. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate meals and nourishments as described by departmental policy and procedure.

Promotes and maintains a safe work environment for staff as well as customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.

• Prepare and portion meals according to therapeutic nutritional guidelines.
• Deliver food items to meet therapeutic requirements.
• Complete production sheets and perform cafeteria service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the designated work station.
• Provide age-appropriate meals and nourishments as per departmental policy and procedure.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for staff and customers.

• Experience
  
  REQUIRED:
  
  Previous food service experience, preferably in a healthcare facility.
• Experience PREFERRED:
  Previous food service experience, preferably in a healthcare facility.
