Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) – Acute Rehab Unit, Southern Ohio Medical Center – Vanceburg
Southern Ohio Medical Center – Vanceburg is a 21‑bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit and is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to making communities healthier. This PRN/Varies Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) role on our Acute Rehab Unit offers you the chance to engage in meaningful patient care while being part of a supportive team.

- Implements treatment plans developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities.
- Seeks consultation as necessary.
- Monitors patient responses to the treatment plan.
- Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
- Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
- Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
- Assists with patient discharge planning.
- Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.

- Associate’s degree required.
- Graduate of a Program in Discipline.
- Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) in the state of Kentucky.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
