Part-time Faculty (Adjunct) in the Department of Allied Health Sciences for the Radiologic Technology (RDLT) Program

The College of Health & Human Services at Shawnee State University seeks qualified individuals to serve as Part-time Faculty (Adjunct) in the Department of Allied Health Sciences for the Radiologic Technology (RDLT) program. your resume/curriculum vitae (including relevant professional experience); and an unofficial transcript indicating the highest degree attained.

Candidates invited for an on-campus interview may be required to present a teaching lecture and laboratory demonstration of their instructional abilities. Specific questions regarding courses may be directed to Sheena Shifko at . The stipend is based on contact hours according to the highest degree held. Adjunct faculty at SSU are eligible for tuition waivers, professional development opportunities, office space, and limited mileage reimbursement.

They and their family (children 14 years and up) also have free access to the athletic facility. Employment with the University is dependent upon budget approval for the current fiscal year. A background check is required prior to hire. Official transcripts are required and must be submitted prior to hire to the Dean's Office, College of Health and Human Services at 940 2nd Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662.

Skills and Abilities

Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills. Ability to use technology in teaching. Ability to use collaborative learning techniques and student-centered methods of instruction.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduated from a JRCERT-accredited educational Radiologic Technology program
  • Two (2) years of experience
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration
  • Currently hold or be able to obtain an Ohio and Kentucky licensure

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
