Early Intervention Therapist Opportunities
Associates in Pediatric Therapy (APT) seeks Physical Therapists (PT), Occupational Therapists (OT), and Speech‑Language Pathologists (SLP) to provide early intervention services in Pike and Johnson counties, Kentucky, working primarily in patients’ natural environments—homes, daycares, community centers, and selected office sites.

- Evaluate and provide treatment for children birth‑to‑age 3 across physical, social‑emotional, self‑help, communication, and cognitive development domains.
- Work primarily in natural environments, but also at other APT offices and contract locations as needed.
- Develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) using a coaching model, in collaboration with patients’ caregivers and the interdisciplinary team.
- Accurately document treatment sessions and progress or evaluation reports.
- Maintain professional competencies, licensure, and ethical standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (All Disciplines)
- Work closely with patients’ caregivers and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) through a coaching model.
- Accurately document treatment sessions as well as progress or evaluation reports in detail.
- Maintains professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities and upholds federal/state licensure and ethical expectations.
- Examines and evaluates children age birth‑to‑3 with congenital and orthopedic conditions to improve mobility through gross‑motor interventions such as gait training, equipment management, neuromuscular re‑education, and therapeutic exercises.
- Holder of a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and an applicable, unrestricted state license (or process of obtaining license).
- Evaluate children age birth‑to‑3 for fine motor, visual motor, sensory, executive function, and other domains to assess impact on daily living activities, sleep, education, play, leisure, and social participation.
- Holder of a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and an applicable, unrestricted state license (or process of obtaining license).
- Evaluate and treat children age birth‑to‑3 for speech, language, oral motor, voice, fluency, articulation, or social communication disorders to achieve highest functioning and prevent regression.
- Holder of a master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology and an applicable, unrestricted state license (or process of obtaining license).
