• Positions and preps patients prior to surgery
• Ensures clear visibility for the surgeon by using instruments such as retractors and sponges, controlling bleeding, closing surgery sites using sutures or staples and properly dressing wounds
• Collaborate with doctors and other surgical team members to ensure proper post-operative care of patients

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a certified surgical technician program and a recognized first assistant training program
• 1+ year experience as a certified surgical tech is required
• C-NBSTSA CST First Assist certification required
