Assists providers in exams and office procedures. Maintains supply inventory in exam rooms, cleans and sterilizes equipment and draws blood. Assist with front office functions. Serves as primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care.
Job Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate from a recognized medical assistant training program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Pass certification exam within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of one year medical assistant experience in a physician's office setting is preferred.

- Must be able to see with corrective eyewear.

- Pulling up to 100 lbs.
- Pushing up to 100 lbs.
- Assists providers in patient exams and minor office procedures.
- Performs point‑of‑care labs, blood draws, EKGs, and spirometry.
- Collects and records vital signs, medical history, medication information, and diagnostic reports.
- Prepares patients for examinations/procedures (positioning, draping, hair removal, disinfection).
- Performs non‑sterile wound care and dressing changes.
- Maintains detailed, clear, objective documentation.
- Assists with front‑office functions including referrals, pre‑certifications, prior authorizations, scheduling, and payment processing.
- Communicates orders and instructions to patients and coordinates with the care team.
- Participates in staff meetings and in‑services, and collaborates with other health professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Identifies and reports critical results and maintains current CPR status.
