We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Specialist Mammographer to join the Imaging team at The Platinum Medical Centre currently rated "Good" by the CQC. The Wellington Hospital is the UK's largest independent hospital with over 260 beds and 1000 employees. In this post you will be based at The Platinum Medical Centre in St John's Wood, part of The Wellington Hospital, where our Mammography clinics are based.
The successful post holder will undertake and perform all mammography procedures including assisting with biopsies and other interventional procedures under the guidance of the Breast Radiologist. As a Clinical Specialist Mammographer, you will join a team of four experienced Mammographers within our dedicated Breast Unit, delivering high‑quality care across both screening and symptomatic services. You will work with advanced 2D and 3D mammography technology, undertake a varied caseload including mammography examinations, breast interventional procedures and biopsies, working closely with Breast Radiologists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
We are launching Contrast Enhanced Mammography, offering an opportunity for candidates with existing experience or those keen to develop their skills through specialist training.
- HCPC registered
- Certificate of Competency in Mammography
- Significant post‑registration Mammography experience within a breast imaging service
- Experience undertaking both screening and symptomatic mammography examinations
- Experience supporting breast interventional procedures and biopsies
- Experience in Contrast Enhanced Mammography – desirable, although training can be provided
