Job Overview:

We are currently hiring for someone who currently holds a current license to practice as a Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in St. Charles, MO as an Associate Counselor. In this role you will play a vital role in supporting the assessment, treatment planning, and counseling efforts for clients undergoing mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

Under the supervision of licensed/qualified counselors or therapists, you will assist in conducting screenings, developing treatment plans, facilitating group counseling sessions, and providing individualized support to clients. Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the screening and assessment process under the supervision of licensed/qualified counselors or therapists, ensuring adherence to designated time frames and standards.
  • Collaborate in the development of treatment plans for clients, demonstrating evolution and individualization based on assessment findings and under supervision.
  • Complete all correspondence in a timely manner, including documentation of services provided and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Participate in clinical staffing/team meetings, providing feedback on relevant cases and contributing to treatment planning discussions.
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions, group education, family conferences, and individual counseling sessions, focusing on promoting recovery, healthy decision‑making, and improved problem‑solving skills.
  • Maintain positive professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to Code of Ethics and agency policies.
  • Handle crisis situations as they arise, following agency policies and notifying supervisors when necessary.
  • Demonstrate interest in the long‑term and short‑term goals and objectives of the company.
  • Complete annual training requirements as specified in individualized training plans.


Education and/or Experience

Qualifications:

  • Must meet the requirements for registration, supervision, and professional development as set forth by either:
    Illinois Requirements:
    Obtain CADC according to IL admin rule part 2060 within 2 years and renew as required.
  • Applicant must be willing to become licensed in additional states and comfortable with providing telehealth services.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods related to mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet client needs and agency requirements.
