What You'll Do- Coach and support individuals with disabilities while they learn food service and workplace skills
- Prepare sandwiches, soups, salads, beverages, and other café menu items
- Take customer orders in person and over the phone
- Assist with food prep, stocking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe kitchen
- Deliver café orders using agency vehicles
- Encourage independence while providing redirection and positive support when needed
- Document daily progress, behaviors, and training activities using a computer
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding participant progress
- Help create a welcoming, respectful environment for customers and participants
- Enjoys working with people
- Has a positive attitude and lots of patience
- Can multitask in a fast‑paced café environment
- Is dependable and enjoys a consistent routine
- Is comfortable giving encouragement, direction, and constructive coaching
- Can stay calm and redirect behaviors in a respectful manner
- Is willing to learn and complete required trainings
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 25 pounds
- Ability to assist participants with physical tasks as needed
- Work in both kitchen and community settings
- Monday‑Friday schedule

High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous food service, restaurant, deli, cafeteria, grocery, retail, customer service, caregiving, DSP, or social service experience is helpful but not required
Valid driver's license with a good driving record (required)
Comfortable driving agency vehicles for local deliveries
Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
Ability to write clear daily notes regarding participant progress and behaviors
Must successfully complete a criminal background check
Must complete agency‑paid training, including:
- CPR/First Aid
- MANDT (behavior management/de‑escalation)
- Client‑specific trainings
- Other required agency trainings
