PRIMARY FUNCTION The Pharmacy Delivery Driver is responsible for picking up prescriptions each day at White House Clinic pharmacies and delivering them to patients or other sites.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES Pick up prescriptions for delivery at White House Clinic pharmacies.

Deliver prescriptions promptly, efficiently, and accurately to intended recipients, including patients and other organizational clinics.

Communicate and resolve prescription delivery issues with pharmacy staff and patients.

Maintain security and integrity of medication and devices throughout the entire delivery process.

Understand and communicate insurance and prescription issues with patients using basic pharmacy language.

Performs data collection as required

Collect patient signatures acknowledging delivery.

Maintains strictest confidentiality.

Maintains security of monies collected from patients and delivers to the pharmacy.

Ensures vehicle is maintained in a safe and proper working condition.

Performs light maintenance work as requested.

Assists with other pharmacy duties or in other departments as instructed by supervisor.

ACCOUNTABILITY Reports to the Facilities Manager.

SUPERVISION None.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed in a pharmacy office environment and will consist of traveling within the communities we serve. Work involves frequent contact with staff and the public, frequent exposure to communicable disease, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to medical environment. Position may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Work may be stressful VEL REQUIREMENTS Regular travel is a requirement for this position.

WORK HOURS
37.5 hours per week, subject to wage and hour laws. Occasional overtime may be required.

SALARY Starting at $15.04 per hour, based on experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Experience:

No experience required, however candidates with prior pharmacy experience will be given preference.

Required License:
Valid Kentucky driver’s license free from violations and accidents.

Qualifications Successful candidates will be able to work with minimal supervision, handle money, and collect and maintain required paperwork. Candidates must possess skill in establishing and maintaining effective, understanding, and courteous working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
