We are looking for either a part-time or full-time massage therapist to perform therapeutic massages of soft tissues and joints at our locations in Louisville, KY. May also assist in the assessment of range of motion and muscle strength, or propose client therapy plans.
Job Tasks:- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and make referrals when appropriate.
- Provide therapeutic massage treatments to address pain, injury, medical conditions, and overall wellness.
- Assess clients' physical condition, including soft tissue health, muscle strength, joint function, and range of motion, to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Review client medical histories and perform evaluations to determine appropriate treatment approaches.
- Apply a variety of massage techniques and therapeutic modalities to promote recovery, relaxation, and improved function.
- Educate clients on posture, stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and rehabilitative exercises to support ongoing health and wellness.
- Maintain accurate and timely client treatment records and documentation.
- Perform additional therapeutic techniques and duties within the scope of practice to support client care and organizational needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current and valid Kentucky license for massage therapy
- 1+ year experience as a professional massage therapist - preferred
- Experience working in a therapy center environment - preferred
