Overview
To perform cardiac echocardiography procedures of a professional level on all patient population serviced by the hospital.
ResponsibilitiesTo perform cardiac echocardiography procedures of a professional level on all patient population serviced by the hospital. Responsible for the safety, mental and physical comfort of the patient. Will assist in the planning, directing and coordinating of activities pertaining to the position. Performs other technical & clerical duties as delegated by the Cardio Director. Performs technical and clerical duties are required to meet Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (ICAL) of Echocardiography requirements for echocardiogram lab accreditation.
QualificationsMinimum Education
- Prefer (2) two years allied health program or two (2) years of college with biological sciences.
- Registered with THE AMERICAN REGISTRY OF DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHERS, CARDIOVASCULAR CREDIENTING INTERNATIONAL, or eligible for registry.
Minimum Work Experience
- Five years of experience preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- BLS-CPR completion
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Basic computer skills.
- Required to comply with OSHA regulations for the N95 respirator training and fit testing
