Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. | Level 2: 73-110 hrs. | Level 3: 111-144 hrs. per 6‑week schedule

• Assist a RN in delivering patient care on the Antepartum unit.
• Assist with vital signs, including manual blood pressure, 12‑lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal.
• Perform sterile specimen collection, bathing, bed management, ambulation, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose checks, feeding, admission to a room, and preparation of patients for discharge.
• Carry out any other duties delegated by the registered nurse.
• Assist in implementing a patient‑specific care plan.
• Participate in activities essential to the functioning of the patient care unit.
• Contribute positively to safety outcomes and promote a high‑quality patient experience.
• Use appropriate patient movement equipment for lifting and transfers during non‑emergency situations.
• In urgent events, assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Education:
  
  Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (CNA) training course is preferred; completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing is also preferred.
• Certification:
  Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Experience:
  
  Inpatient patient care technician experience is unique or preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Inpatient medical/surgical experience.
