Position Summary

Are you outgoing, dependable, and passionate about helping others? Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is looking for a warm and welcoming Access Engagement Specialist to guide new clients through their first steps of care. BCI provides outpatient services for adults, children, and families in Mental Health (MH) and Substance Abuse (SA) programs, and the Access Engagement Specialist plays a key role in making every client feel comfortable, valued, and well cared for as they begin treatment with BCI.

The Access Engagement Specialist is responsible for providing orientation to new clients, maintaining the BCI and Behavix waitlist for services, and coordinating initial face-to-face sessions with a licensed outpatient therapist. The Access Engagement Specialist also coordinates community wellness checks with the Case Management department for hospital discharge clients who no-show for their discharge group. The Access Engagement Specialist demonstrates excellent customer service skills and patience when working through difficult situations, ensures that all client information collected is accurate, and maintains strict client confidentiality.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, and enjoys building rapport with clients throughout their early care journey. They thrive as part of a professional and para-professional team and communicate easily with BCI departments and external stakeholders. Strong multi-tasking skills, sound judgment, and a consistently professional, upbeat attitude help ensure that every client gets a positive and well-coordinated start to treatment.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School (HS) Diploma OR GED.
  • Bilingual/Bicultural (English/Spanish) preferred (not required).

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing all required screenings and background checks, including:
